It was January of 2012, the supposed end of the world according to Notredamus. While it’s debatable if this was in fact the end of the world, one fact remains, our Founder Steven Walicki had a near death experience. While on an extreme skiing mission, Steve was skiing above extreme exposure, cliff faces and powder over ice. The powder slid and Steve discovered the ice sheet below. He barely found his edges and managed to ski to a lone pine above the rock face. He wrangled the life saving timber and clung on for his life. As the situation became more dire, fear set in. But lo, so did another remarkable reaction! His mouth began to salivate, at first it was if he was about to throw up, but then the flavor of beer boiled Johnsonvilles appeared in his mouth! This was the moment Bratawareness was born. Steve Mustered strength through the Wurst. Joy and eternal bliss followed. He released the tree and hucked the cliff to saftey. Never again was he the same. He was “Brat Back” and wanted to share his message to the world.
